THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF DARREN RAINEY’S BODY RELEASED IN A 5/6/17 MIAMI HERALD ARTICLE PROVE THE CONDITION OF DARREN RAINEY’S SKIN

On 3/17/17 when I was ghosted out of the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) at 3:30 am, the Dade County Florida State Attorney released their written decision to not prosecute Rainey’s killers.  About ten days after my 3/17/17 ghosting out of Florida against my will, I received the Dade County State Attorney’s 3/17/17 foregoing written decision and I was advised that since 3/17/17 the Dade County Florida State Attorney had told the media and numerous other people that one of the primary reasons they weren’t going to prosecute Rainey’s killers was because Darren Rainey’s skin allegedly wasn’t burned.  Now the people of Dade County Florida and the whole World can see the condition of Rainey’s skin when he was taken out of the shower, in the photographs of Darren Rainey’s dead body that the Miami Herald newspaper released on 5/6/17.
Now everybody can see why several inmates, two Dade C.I. security staff, and FDC Inspector General, three nurses, a Fire-Rescue Lieutenant and I, all said that Darren Rainey’s skin was burned.  Now everybody can see what I saw on the night Darren Rainey was murdered.  Now everybody can see that the Dade County Florida State Attorney and Medical Examiner didn’t uphold their oaths to be truthful when they both said Darren Rainey’s skin wasn’t burned.  The photographs the Miami Herald newspaper published in an article on 5/6/17 show how much the life of poor, black, mentally disabled, Muslim prisoner Darren Rainey don’t matter to the Miami-Dade Police Department, Dade County Florida State Attorney, and the Dade County Florida Medical Examiner.
Now you can see what they did to Rainey, what do you think about this case?  Do you think it’s right what they did to Rainey?  Do you think it’s right that the Dade County Florida State Attorney is allowing Rainey’s killers to stay free?  Do you think it’s right that the Dade County Florida State Attorney and Medical Examiner lied to you and everybody in saying Rainey’s skin wasn’t burned?  My desire is to move you to join our fight for justice for Rainey and our fight for the value of life.  Please sign our petition on Change.org entitled THE LIFE OF BLACK, MENTALLY DISABLED MUSLIM PRISONER DARREN RAINEY DOES MATTER.

Publisher’s note:  The canvas shoe you can see in the shower is the same shoe that a convict was ordered to fill with Mr Rainey’s skin, the day after he died in the locked shower.  This convict was later ordered to “throw it in the trash.”  Thus a crime-scene was destroyed, with collusion from the police and prison authorities.

A LETTER TO THE PEOPLE OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND OF THE WORLD, CONCERNING MURDERS AND CORRUPTION IN DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA

I’m in need of any information you can provide me with concerning any African Americans who were killed by Dade County, Florida law enforcement officials and the Dade County, Florida State Attorney didn’t prosecute the case.  Also, I’m in need of any information you have on any type of corruption involving the Dade County Florida State Attorney, Dade County Florida Medical Examiner and Miami-Dade Police Department.
If you have any newspaper articles or documents you can provide me on any of the foregoing, please send them to my friend Jeremy who manages this blog.  I believe he’ll show me kindness in getting me copies of whatever documents, information, etc. you mail him.  Thank you for your kindness.
Please share this blog with your friends and anybody you believe can help me with obtaining this information and anybody you believe would like to join us in our fight for the value of life.  Please sign our petition on Change.org entitled THE LIFE OF BLACK, MENTALLY DISABLED MUSLIM PRISONER DARREN RAINEY DOES MATTER.

WHY DIDN’T THE DADE COUNTY FLORIDA STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, MIAMI-DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS POLYGRAPH OR VOICE STRESS TEST HAROLD HEMPSTEAD OR ANYBODY IN THE DARREN RAINEY MURDER CASE?

"In the last twenty-seven years of my life I’ve had a lot of communications with State and Federal agencies (not as a suspect) in more administrative and criminal investigations than I can remember.  Over these twenty-seven years I’ve learned that law enforcement agencies highly favor polygraph and voice-stress testing as investigative tools to test the credibility of their own staff, witnesses, suspects and those who aid them in investigations.  I’ve never been placed on a polygraph test over these years, but I have been administered voice-stress testing several times.  Also, over these last eighteen years of my life I’ve read several criminal cases where law enforcement agencies used these types of testing for investigative purposes.  Since Darren Rainey’s murder, I’ve asked the Dade County State Attorney’s Office, Miami-Dade Police Department, and Florida Department of Corrections several times to polygraph or voice-stress test me on the things I told them concerning Darren Rainey’s murder.
These agencies consistently refused to do the foregoing, even though they each have the equipment to conduct said tests and the people trained in administering these tests.  In other words, they don’t have to hire somebody to administer these tests.
Why do you think they consistently refused to polygraph or voice-stress test me concerning the things I told them about the Darren Rainey murder?  I believe they refused to do the foregoing because they knew beyond all doubt what I told them was the truth about Rainey’s murder and if they tested me, I’d be able to use the results from the test against them to push for a prosecution of those who killed Rainey.
My 2013 FDC Inmate Grievances I filed on Rainey’s murder also document me asking to be polygraphed or voice-stress tested on what I said concerning Rainey’s murder.  Why didn’t these agencies polygraph or voice-stress test the Dade C.I. staff that killed Rainey and that were working on the night Rainey was killed?  I believe because these agencies knew those who killed Darren Rainey and the Dade C.I. staff that were working on the night Rainey was killed, were lying.
Since these agencies have refused to polygraph or voice-stress test me, I’m asking for your help.  I believe if I can get anybody to polygraph or voice-stress test me, I can use the results of my testing, to further prove a cover-up, corruption and racism in the Darren Rainey murder case.  I’m absolutely positive I can pass a polygraph or voice-stress test concerning the things I said on the Darren Rainey murder.  If you’re reading this blog and you have the ability to polygraph or voice-stress test me, or arrange to have somebody administer one of these tests to me, will you please contact my friend Jeremy who manages this blog and tell him you’d like to help me with this matter?  Because I’m in prison, I have several restrictions placed on me.  Any law enforcement or State or Federal agency can administer one of these tests to me.  The only other people who can obtain authorization to have one of these tests administered to me are private investigators or contractors, lawyers and the media.  With the proper paperwork, any person can hire a private investigator or contractor to administer one of these tests to me.  If you can help me, I’d really appreciate it.  Also, if you can help me, think about your help as being a way of aiding in the fight for justice for the murder of Darren Rainey and as a way of aiding in the fight for the value of life.  The people I personally know and I, can’t make arrangements to have me receive one of these tests, because if we paid for me to receive one of these tests, people could say the person who gave me the test was bias in favor of my view of things.  I want an unbias tester to administer me one of these tests.  Please share this blog with your friends and anybody you believe would like to join us in our fight for the value of life.  Please sign our petition on Change.org entitled THE LIFE OF BLACK, MENTALLY DISABLED MUSLIM PRISONER DARREN RAINEY DOES MATTER."

IS FLORIDA HIDING FROM THE TRUTH ON THE DARREN RAINEY CASE?
Criminal justice regularly uses current technology to prove or disprove allegations in criminal investigations.  Sometimes the use of such technology can be controversial, as in the numerous cases of falsified human DNA evidence that has been used by Florida’s various corrupted agencies to send innocent people to their deaths - often fitted up by the police to ‘solve’ murder cases.
One form of technology that is remarkably reliable and valid however is the polygraph or so called ‘lie-detector’ test.  When the key-witness in an ultra-controversial state-killing asks for the opportunity to prove the truth of his testimony, using the hardware that the tax-payers have entrusted the police and other authorities to use in the pursuit of justice - shouldn’t those authorities either jump at the chance to prove Harold Hempstead a liar (as they have gone to great lengths to impute) or prove him a true witness and start acting on the evidence he has risked his life for years to reveal?
To deny this avenue of truth and justice to the key-witness in a state-homicide is highly egregious and suspicious and this alone should arouse deep dismay and misgivings amongst those concerned with justice;  but when you add this fact to the ever-growing mountain of similar facts, observations and witnessings from Harold Hempstead, that are accumulating on his blog-site, I am left with one glaring conclusion - the state effectively tortured Darren Rainey to death and the state is now desperately trying to conceal, bury and deny the truth about Florida Department of Corrections - the systemic torture, the policy of starvation unto death,  the super-heated torture-chamber, the taunting of the most extremely mentally disturbed until they are driven to hang themselves as a better alternative to staying in the Dade C.I. Transitional ‘Care’ Unit…  in short, dear readers, the Crimes Against Humanity.

This case continues.

WHY DIDN’T THE DADE COUNTY FLORIDA STATE ATTORNEY PROVIDE THE MIAMI HERALD NEWSPAPER WITH A CERTIFIED AUDIO COPY OF MY JUNE 2014 INTERVIEW WITH THE MIAMI-DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT ON THE DARREN RAINEY MURDER WHEN THE HERALD FIRST REQUESTED IT?

Darren Rainey

Katherine Fernandez Rundle
Harold Hempstead
"On 6/23/12 Darren Rainey was brutally killed in a shower that reached temperatures in excess of 160 degrees Fahrenheit in the Dade C.I. Transitional Care Unit (TCU).  The Miami Dade Police Department was assigned to investigate the Rainey murder that same night, but they didn’t actually start investigating said murder till June 2014.  What caused them to start their investigation in June 2014?  The Miami Herald newspaper published weeks of articles on how the police were refusing to investigate said murder.
In June 2014, when police started their investigation I was one of the inmate-witnesses they interviewed in June 2014 about the Rainey murder.  Following the Dade County Florida State Attorney’s 3/17/17 decision not to prosecute in the Rainey case, the Miami Herald Newspaper ordered all the public records in the Rainey case which included audio copies of all the interviews the police conducted.  As of 4/19/17 I’ve been told by a Miami Herald representative that the Dade County State Attorney turned over audio copies of all the interviews the police conducted with everybody but me.  Also, I was told that the Dade County State Attorney said the alleged reason why her office didn’t provide an audio copy of my interview with the police was because they didn’t have it, and the MDPD was still in possession of it.  Now tell me this doesn’t sound like more foul play.  Why would the MDPD provide the audio recordings they conducted with everybody but me to the State Attorney?  Does the Dade County State Attorney have the audio recording of my interview, and they just don’t want to turn it over to the Herald because the State Attorney knows she lied several times on me in her 3/17/17 memorandum and to the media about things she alleged I told the police?  Does the Miami-Dade Police Department still have the audio recording of my interview and they don’t want to turn it over to the Dade County State Attorney, because the police told the Dade County State Attorney I told them things that I didn’t say?  Are the Dade County Florida State Attorney and/or MDPD refusing to provide an audio copy of my June 2014 interview with the police until one or both of these agencies can add or subtract things from my interview to suit their lies?  These are questions that I have about matters that I’d like to know.  There are several things that concern my June 2014 interview with the police that I don’t need to ask any questions on.  I know I didn’t say several things in my police interview that the Dade County State Attorney alleged I said since 3/17/17.  I know when the police were interviewing me they were doing their best to limit my answers and evidence I was trying to provide to the degree that I said something about it more than once.  I know that MDPD detective Sanchez told me prior to the interview that the Miami Herald had published several articles on the Rainey murder in the weeks prior to them interviewing me in June 2014, and later on I found out that the majority of those articles were on how the MDPD was refusing to do their job and investigate the Rainey murder.  I know these news articles got the police in some trouble and got them mad.  Other than all of the foregoing that I do know, I know one more thing which is: there’s no logical reason why the audio interview I had with the police wasn’t turned over to the media with all the other audio interviews but for foul play with the MDPD and Dade County Florida State Attorney.
Is it too much to ask that the law be followed in the Rainey case?  Is it too much to expect Dade County officials to do their jobs that they swore oaths to do?

OSCAR L. DAVIS - A DEAD INMATE WHO I WITNESSED BE DENIED DOZENS OF MEALS OVER A SEVERAL-MONTH PERIOD

In 2011 when I arrived at the Dade C.I. Transitional Care Unit (TCU) there was a blind, mentally disabled inmate there named Oscar Davis.  Oscar Davis was highly disliked by all of the staff and most of the inmates because of the charges he was incarcerated on and because he was very loud and disrespectful.  It was alleged that he was in prison for raping a senior citizen and that he also dug out his own eyes.  When I was an orderly in the Dade C.I. TCU I was the inmate who held the trays of food and gave the trays to the inmates during meal times.  The inmate-patients were locked in their cells during meal times.  The only way I could give the inmate-patients a tray was if security opened the food flaps for me to give the inmates their trays of food.  If security didn’t want to feed an inmate-patient, they wouldn’t open the inmate’s food flap.  This was done so much that it was common sense that the inmate-patients in the cells that didn’t have the food flaps opened, weren’t being fed.

In 2011, one of the inmates that I witnessed be denied the most food was Oscar L. Davis.  He was denied one to two meals a day (and sometimes three meals a day) for the months I knew him between April and December 2011.  I watched his physical health get worse.  I remember the day mental health specialist Dr Cesar told me Oscar Davis was taken to an outside doctor and that doctor said Davis was missing the type of vitamin in his body that allowed the doctor to know he was being denied large quantities of food.  Dr Cesar then asked me if Oscar Davis was being fed.  I told Dr Cesar to listen to what the outside doctor said.  I also remember when security told me Oscar Davis was dying on the day he left the Dade C.I. TCU.  Finally, I remember about two weeks after Davis left the Dade C.I. TCU, security telling me that Oscar Davis died.
Since 2011 I’ve believed that Oscar Davis being denied so much food contributed to his death.  Am I wrong to believe that if the extreme lack of food caused Davis to have a medical condition that killed him, then those who denied Davis so much food killed him?  Please tell me what you think.  I’ve shared this issue with the Department of Justice and others.  Oscar Davis was the first inmate that I knew, while at Dade C.I. TCU, who I believe staff killed.  I admit I don’t have as much evidence on Oscar Davis as I do Darren Rainey, but I still think the extreme denial of food led to Davis dying.  What happened to Oscar Davis was swept under the rug by the Florida Department of Corrections and covered up by the MDPD, Dade County Medical Examiner and Dade County State Attorney.  How they seen it, Oscar Davis was a poor, black, mentally disabled inmate in prison for raping a senior citizen.  I believe what is important is not who Oscar Davis was but that right is right and wrong is wrong.  Nobody has the right to starve or kill somebody just because they don’t like them.  We have to have an objective standard on the value of life and not a subjective standard.  We must say the lives of all people matter, no matter their nationality, race, religion, creed, or position in this World.  Anything less is an attack on the value of life.  Oscar Davis was denied large quantities of food as punishment in the same Dade C.I. TCU Darren Rainey was killed in.  Please share this blog with your friends and anybody you believe would like to join us in our fight for the value of life.  Please sign our petition on Change.org called THE LIFE OF BLACK, MENTALLY DISABLED MUSLIM PRISONER DARREN RAINEY DOES MATTER.

WHEN WAS THE MIAMI-DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT (MDPD) ASSIGNED TO INVESTIGATE THE DARREN RAINEY MURDER (6/23/12) AND WHEN DID THEY START INVESTIGATING SAID MURDER (JUNE 2014)

On 6/23/12 when Darren Rainey was murdered the MDPD was assigned to investigate said murder.  On that same day the MDPD assigned case number : 1206 23238979MDPD as the MDPD case number for the Rainey murder.
MDPD and Miami-Dade County Florida State Attorney records will show that from 6/23/12 till June 2014, the MDPD didn’t conduct any investigations into the Rainey murder.
All law enforcement officials are taught to not postpone investigating a case.  Why?  Because as time passes evidence is destroyed or lost, witnesses die and their memories get worse.  All law enforcement officials know that as time passes the chances of proven the crime decrease.  The MDPD detectives assigned to the Rainey case knew the foregoing and they still refused to investigate the Rainey case.  Why do you think the MDPD refused to investigate the Rainey case for approximately two years, knowing that as time progress the chance of proving the case decrease?  I cannot think of any valid legal or moral reason for the MDPD doing the foregoing.  The only logical reason I can think of as to why the MDPD would do the foregoing was that the MDPD detectives assigned to the Rainey case believed they had more important cases to investigate.  The Rainey murder wasn’t important to the MDPD detectives assigned to the case.  Why wasn’t it important to them?  I believe it was because of who Darren Rainey was.  Rainey was a poor, black, mentally disabled Muslim prisoner, in prison for possession of a small amount of drugs.  To the MDPD nobody cared about Rainey’s murder apart from some convicted burglar serving 165 years in prison.  Since nobody in society cared about Rainey’s murder, why would they care about it!  To the MDPD detectives assigned to the Rainey case, Rainey was a nobody.  If you order the MDPD rules for investigations and the MDPD Homicide Department Standard Operating Procedures For Investigations, you’ll see the MDPD detectives assigned to the Rainey case violated their own rules in not starting an investigation into the Rainey case until almost two years after Rainey’s murder.
Now I’d like to address what actually caused the MDPD to actually start investigating the Rainey murder.  If you go to the Miami Herald newspaper internet site and read the first Miami Herald article published on the Rainey murder on 5/18/14, and read all their articles that mention Rainey’s name until about the second week of June 2014, you’ll see it was the media that caused the MDPD to do their job and start investigating the Rainey murder.  Yes the only thing that caused the MDPD to do their job and investigate the Rainey murder was the Miami Herald publishing several articles on how the MDPD was refusing to investigate the brutal murder of Rainey that happened almost two years earlier.
MDPD and Dade County Florida State Attorney records will prove that absolutely nothing was done to investigate the Rainey murder from June 2012 till June 2014.  Please investigate what I’m saying.  Also, please read the May and June 2014 Miami Herald articles and you’ll see how they mention the MDPD not investigating the Rainey case.  I believe this should show the people of Dade County, Florida and the World that certain types of people’s lives don’t matter to the MDPD.  If you’re poor your life don’t matter to the MDPD.  If you’re black your life don’t matter to the MDPD.  If you’re mentally disabled your life don’t matter to the MDPD.  If you’re Muslim your life don’t matter to the MDPD.  If you’re a prisoner your life don’t matter to the MDPD.  If you’re anything else your life might not matter to the MDPD.
My friends, I’ve told people over these years that by taking a stand asking for justice for the murder of Rainey, I’m not just taking a stand for Rainey, I’m taking a stand for the value of life for all people.  By saying Rainey’s life mattered we’re saying all lives matter.  In other words, a quest for one is a quest for all.  Please join us in our quest to show that Darren Rainey’s life mattered and that all lives matter.
Please share this blog with your friends and anybody you believe would like to join us in our efforts.  Please sign our petition at Change.org entitled THE LIFE OF BLACK, MENTALLY DISABLED MUSLIM PRISONER DARREN RAINEY DOES MATTER.

THE INMATE-WITNESSES THE MIAMI-DADE POLICE DEPARTMENT PLACED IN DANGER IN THE DARREN RAINEY MURDER CASE

"After approximately 6 months of Dade C.I. staff using a shower that reached temperatures of 160°F (according to Dade C.I. Cpt. Dixon) to punish mentally disabled inmates, Darren Rainey would be the last inmate placed in the shower as punishment.  Why?  Because he was killed in the shower.
The primary officer responsible for killing Rainey was reposted to work in another area at Dade C.I. (other than in the TCU where Rainey was killed) about four months after Rainey’s murder.  Rainey was killed on June 23, 2012, the officer was reposted in October 2012.  In March 2014, the officer was reassigned to work back in Dade C.I. Westside TCU which is the area where Rainey was killed.  The officer who killed Rainey was no longer an officer when he returned to the Westside TCU.  He returned as a sergeant.
In April 2014 I met with a Miami Herald representative at Dade C.I., on May 18, 2014 the Miami Herald newspaper published their first article on the Darren Rainey murder and from thereforth until the first about two weeks of June, 2014 they published several articles on the Miami-Dade Police Department not investigating the Rainey murder.
In June 2014 the Miami-Dade Police Department interviewed ten inmates in the Dade C.I. TCU who were in the Dade C.I. TCU when Rainey was killed.  In August 2014 the MDPD interviewed an eleventh inmate in the Dade C.I. TCU who was also in the Dade C.I. TCU when Rainey was killed.
These eleven inmates were all witnesses to inmates being starved, abused and tortured in the TCU they were housed in.  Several of these inmates were witnesses to the Rainey murder and how the Dade C.I. staff used the shower Rainey was killed in to torture mentally disabled inmates for approximately six months.
Why did the MDPD place these inmates’ lives in danger and interview them while they were still housed in the Dade C.I. TCU in the custody of staff who were starving, abusing and torturing inmates?  Why didn’t the MDPD make arrangements to have these inmate-witnesses transferred to another TCU at another institution where the inmates would be safe and interview the inmates at a safe institution?  Do you believe the experienced MDPD detectives that interviewed these witnesses knew or didn’t know that by interviewing the eleven inmates in the Dade C.I. TCU, they were placing these inmates’ lives in danger?
I believe these detectives knew what they were doing and they did such to hinder/hurt the investigation.  It is obvious that the MDPD only acted like they were investigating the Rainey case because of the numerous articles that the Miami Herald published in May and June 2014 on the MDPD refusing to investigate the Rainey murder.  The police didn’t want to investigate the Rainey murder and the May and June Miami Herald articles that mentioned their failure to do the foregoing is what caused them to have to investigate said murder.  How do you think the MDPD felt that a newspaper was exposing them for failing to investigate the murder of a black, mentally disabled Muslim prisoner?  Do you believe that if the MDPD conducted a thorough and effective investigation into Rainey’s murder and proved Rainey’s murder, it would’ve made the MDPD look bad?  I believe it would’ve because it would’ve showed that the police were originally trying not to investigate a brutal murder and that they only investigated said murder and allowed such after the media published several articles on the police department refusing to investigate Rainey’s murder.  The sad thing is Rainey was a black, mentally disabled Muslim prisoner and that is why the MDPD didn’t want to investigate the Rainey case and that is why the Dade County Florida State Attorney don’t want to prosecute Rainey’s killers.
Please share this blog with your friends and anyone you think can help us with getting justice for Rainey’s murder.  Please sign our petition on Change.org entitled THE LIFE OF BLACK, MENTALLY DISABLED MUSLIM PRISONER DARREN RAINEY DOES MATTER."

-------------------------------------------------------------
Dade Correctional Institution - The House Of The Dade - Welcome To Auschwitz USA, a place where anything can happen - a place which the guards themselves liken to the Nazi's human-slaughterhouse - a place with a high rate of Death - an inexplicably high rate of Death - until Harold Hempstead started to explicate it, that is.
I heard about the place because I do environmental and political campaigning and I get sent lots of American petitions in my email inbox.  After years of studying the horrors of various dictatorial regimes around the world and campaigning for human rights in Tibet, Arabia, China, Britain, Nigeria etc. I'd seen and heard about a lot of evil, the kind of evil perpetrated by the uniformed thugs and maniacs that always find employment in the penal, police, 'intelligence' and military systems of this world's great nations...
A petition from someone called 'Windy Hempstead' caught my eye.  The story behind it stood out for its extreme brutality and inhumanity and it shocked someone who'd spent years dealing with human horror of an Official nature.  Windy's petition talked about her brother Harold and how he'd witnessed a black man being steamed to death in a Florida prison.  A particularly horrible story from the internet.  The story dwelt on my mind and I started to write on it.  Pretty soon I'd made contact with Windy, then Harold and then I wrote myself into the story.
Just over a year later and working in partnership with Harold Hempstead on the Darren Rainey case has become my main focus of attention.  Mr Hempstead is a powerful force for good, he's a man lit by divine inspiration and that's not something I say lightly.  He's driven by a religious impulse to witness the truth, whatever the consequences - and for a man doing one hundred and sixty-five (165) years in the grip of the mass-incarceration complex of the United States of America, those consequences could well prove fatal.  Previous blogs on this and Harold's own site describe Florida Department of Corrections' deadly games, including housing Harold in a cell with a series of no less than five murderers, several of whom were tripping out on 'spice' which mysteriously bypassed the rigorous security of FDC.
Like many a survivor of hideous trauma, Harold blames himself for not doing enough to stop a violent tragedy from occurring - even though he was locked in a cell, at the mercy of people whom he knew to be torturers and killers.  Living under repression and downright oppression for years is going to affect anyone - inmates who merely file an official grievance risk getting their bones broken or teeth kicked out (evidence available - as with all assertions about FDC)  The 'sensible' thing to do in prison is keep your head down and try not to upset the guards.  These people don't like being accused of crimes by those they seem to consider as sub-humans.  Dade had certain spooky and vile parallels with the death-camp it's guards called it after.  People were starved there, they died soon after.  Many people have died there under suspicious circumstances.  People were tortured and treated as though they were less than human - some of those who were tortured had indeed done some monstrous things, but 'monsters' torturing 'monsters' is not what is meant by 'the rule of law.'  However bad some of these people are, or were, they deserve to be treated in accordance with the law - otherwise, if the penal system is apparently above the law, you have a form of democracy so rotten and corrupted that it is no longer worthy of such a name.
This is not the America of 1776 - this is not the Vision of an America that was dreamed by freedom-loving people long ago.  This is a corrupt, late-stage, decadent empire, strangling and eating its own children.  This is not what they fought the Brits for or what Betsy Ross made a flag for - she wouldn't have bothered if she'd known what it was going to stand for.  If she could have had a look round the Westside TCU down there at Dade Correctional Institution she would've come up with a flag of a different colour.
One of the sickest aspects of the Darren Rainey case is that all the abuse and torture, all the starvation and 'shower-treatment' happened inside what was meant to be some sort of mental hospital.
Darren Rainey

Since the night of June 23rd, 2012, when Darren Rainey was shoved into the 'special shower' and the whole wing heard him screaming and begging for mercy as he died, Harold Hempstead has been on a long journey, changed by what he witnessed and determined to work to expose the truth and achieve justice.  He believes in the value of every human life and so do I.  Sometimes in life you have to take a stand - when something offends you to the core of your heart and mind, when something sickens you to your stomach, you have to find a way of fighting against that thing.  The monstrous treatment and killing of Darren Rainey has galvanized a lot of people into action already, including Harold's sister Windy and the Miami Herald newspaper, who have made massive contributions towards amplifying Harold's voice and supporting this quest to uphold the value of life.  Please read Harold's blogs and feel free to respond to his questions, he would like to hear from you.  You can leave a message at his blog, harold hempstead caged crusader . wordpress . com.

THE RECORDS THAT THE DADE COUNTY FLORIDA STATE ATTORNEY DIDN’T OBTAIN THAT WOULD’VE AIDED IN PROVING DARREN RAINEY WAS MURDERED

"As I read through the Dade County, Florida State Attorney’s 3/17/17 memorandum (hereinafter ‘State Attorney’s memorandum’) stating they’re not going to prosecute anybody for killing Darren Rainey, I noticed there was no reference to some very important records they should’ve obtained in the investigation into Rainey’s brutal murder.  I’m going to list those records and how they are relevant:
1)  The Dade County State Attorney should’ve obtained the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) ‘Forced Hygiene Compliance Procedure’.  This FDC Procedure lists the specific actions all FDC staff must follow if an inmate refuses to shower.   Those who killed Rainey lied and said Rainey refused to shower on the night they killed him.  This procedure would show that the shower Rainey was placed in violated this procedure.  This procedure would show that the duty warden and psychiatrist at Dade C.I were both supposed to be contacted and told that Rainey was refusing to shower.  Nobody at Dade C.I. contacted the Dade C.I. duty warden and psychiatrist and told them that Rainey was refusing to shower.  This procedure says that a hand-held camera was supposed to be used to film Rainey from the time he was in his cell, removed from his cell and taken to the shower, all the time he was in the shower and when he was taken out of the shower and escorted back to his cell.  None of the foregoing happened on the night Rainey was killed.  This procedure says the duty warden on the night Rainey was killed was supposed to be present to supervise everything that happened when the forced hygiene compliance procedure was being instituted and followed with Darren Rainey.  The duty warden wasn’t in any way contacted on the night Rainey was killed and he wasn’t present for the foregoing.  This procedure says medical staff had to also be present to supervise everything that happened with Rainey from the time he was taken out of his cell to be placed in the shower, until after he showered and was placed back in his cell.  The Dade C.I. staff who killed Rainey didn’t follow any of this procedure on the night Rainey was killed because their intent was not to be lawful and follow the rules.  Their intent was to punish Darren Rainey for being a headache and not listening.  This procedure would’ve also refuted what Darren Rainey’s’ killers told the police that they were following the rules on the night they killed Rainey.
2)  The Dade County State Attorney should’ve obtained the FDC Environmental Health & Safety Manual.  This manual would’ve showed that the temperature of the water in this shower was supposed to not be able to get higher than 120°F.  The State Attorney’s memorandum shows that Dade C.I. Dixon tested the water in the shower Rainey was killed in at 160°F.  This manual would also show that the construction of the shower that was used to kill Rainey was unlawful in violation of the manual.
3)  The Dade County State Attorney should’ve obtained all the Incident Reports from the Dade C.I. TCU and asked the FDC for any Incident Reports that mentioned Darren Rainey’s name.  The foregoing would’ve proved that Darren Rainey and no other inmates who refused to shower was ever lawfully placed in the shower Rainey was killed in.  These Incident Reports would show that when inmates refused to shower and Dade C.I. staff followed the Forced Hygiene Compliance Procedure the inmates refusing to shower were always placed in regular showers in Wings J1 or J2.  Inmates were never placed in the shower in J3 that Rainey was killed in.
4)  The Dade County State Attorney should’ve obtained a copy of all the Housing Unit Logs for the Dade C.I. Westside TCU.  The Dade County State Attorney is aware of what Housing Unit Logs are because they have a copy of one as their Exhibit One.  These Housing Unit Logs would’ve showed that Rainey had no history of wiping faeces on himself or in his cell and he was never placed in a shower for refusing to shower other than the night he was killed.
Those who killed Darren Rainey told the police that the shower Rainey was killed in was a legal shower that was constructed to shower inmates that refused to shower and that Rainey had a history of refusing to shower and being placed in showers.  These are straight lies that Rainey’s killers told the police.  The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) and Dade County Florida State Attorney didn’t do anything to investigate the foregoing lies of Rainey’s killers.  Why didn’t they?  Because if they would’ve investigated the Dade C.I. staff who killed Rainey’s lies and obtained the above records they would’ve proved Rainey’s killers were lying.  These records would’ve proved the shower was never constructed to shower inmates, the shower was illegal, no inmates who refused to shower were ever lawfully showered in it, that Rainey had no history of refusing to shower and that the only time Rainey was ever placed in that shower was on the night he was killed in that shower.
I advised the MDPD and Dade County, Florida State Attorney about the records listed above in sections 1 – 3 several times between 2012 and 2015, so they knew these records existed.  Likewise because the Dade County State Attorney has a Housing Log in the memorandum as Exhibit One this shows they know what Housing Logs are.  Accordingly the police and Dade County State Attorney knew these records existed and were relevant and they didn’t obtain them.  To me it is sad that the Dade County State Attorney and MDPD chose to not seriously investigate the Rainey murder and prosecute Rainey’s killers, but instead chose to try and cover up the murder.  Why did they do this?  The most logical answer I can think of is to them Darren Rainey was a poor, black, mentally disabled, Muslim prisoner and his life didn’t matter.

THE MOUNTED SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE THAT TWO AGENCIES DIDN’T SECURE THAT SHOWED FOUL PLAY ON THE NIGHT DARREN RAINEY WAS MURDERED

"After Darren Rainey was murdered I wrote the Miami-Dade Police Department {MDPD} and Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office several letters telling them to please secure the footage from the mounted security camera in wing J1 of the Dade C.I. TCU that pointed toward the officer station on the night Rainey was killed.
The reason why I told these two agencies to save this video footage was because it would show the frantic actions of the officers in the officers’ station  after Ofc. Thompson found Rainey dead in the shower, left him dead in the shower on the floor and went to the officers’ station and told his fellow officers Rainey was dead.
I told these agencies that Ofc. Thompson was the officer who found Rainey dead on the shower floor, that he left Rainey dead on the shower floor and went to the officers’ station and told his fellow officer that Rainey was dead.  That for the next approximately eight minutes the officers’ actions were frantic as they obviously discussed Rainey dead in the shower.  That when they were done discussing the foregoing, Ofc. Clarke went to the shower and acted like he just found him dead.  Also, I told these agencies in twenty-twelve and twenty-thirteen that several days after Rainey was killed, when discussing Rainey’s death with Ofc.s Clarke and Thompson, they told me to say Ofc. Clarke found Rainey dead if anybody asked.  Finally I told these agencies that these Ofc.s were going to say Ofc. Clarke found Rainey dead, but that was a lie.  As you can see, these agencies knew from the beginning that it was important to secure the footage from the mounted security camera in wing J1 that pointed toward the officers’ station on the night Rainey was killed.  However, as it presently looks this camera footage wasn’t secured.
Why do you think these agencies wouldn’t secure the camera footage?  I believe they didn’t do the foregoing because it was more evidence to show foul play with Rainey’s murder.
Do you believe the police sometimes don’t conduct as thorough investigations into some cases as they do others?  I do.  Do you believe the police would conduct as thorough an investigation into a man in prison being killed as they would a man in society being killed?  I don’t.  Do you believe the police would conduct as thorough investigation into a mentally unstable man being killed as they would a mentally stable man being killed?  I don’t.  Do you believe the police would conduct as thorough investigation into an African American being killed as a Caucasian?  I don’t.  I believe the majority of police in America are very good people that are very good at their work.  However police officers are humans and a lot of them are bias, prejudicial and/or racist.  It is sad, but this is the truth.  Why didn’t the Miami-Dade Police Department secure the footage from the camera mentioned herein?  I believe they didn’t secure this camera footage for the same reason they refused to investigate this case until the Miami Herald newspaper in May 2014 started writing articles on the police failing to investigate this case.  Why?  Because to the Miami-Dade Police Department detective assigned to the Rainey case, Darren Rainey’s life didn’t matter.  Why didn’t his life matter?  Because Darren Rainey was a poor, black, mentally disabled, Muslim prisoner.  When a detective cares about the outcome of a case, they thoroughly investigate it.  When they don’t care, they do just enough to say they investigated it.
The Darren Rainey case is another case that will go down in history as evidence showing that Black Lives Don’t Matter In Dade County, Florida And America.  This is how it’ll be unless we all join together in unity, peace and love, and do all that we can to show Black Lives Matter In Dade County, Florida.  All of our efforts must be in unity, peace and love.  What do you think?  Do you believe Black Lives Matter?  We do.  Do you believe all lives matter?  We do.  We care about what you have to say.  You matter, and you can make a difference.
